Allison Hamilton was born and raised in Alabama, but then left to pursue college in North Carolina. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Religious Studies. After graduation, she moved to Brooklyn, NY, where she lived for the following eight years. She worked in a variety of businesses as an administrator, bookkeeper, and manager. Most recently, she served as the Interim Director for the Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice.
After returning to Alabama in 2018, she got involved with GBM through the Community Issues table. She served on GBM’s board in 2019 and 2020 until taking this position. She is passionate about justice, systems change, and community engagement.
